Callidora was raised to value the purity of the wizarding bloodline, in a time not very long after Lord Voldemort was defeated this was not a value that was very easy to grow up with. When she was merely sixteen years old, her parents married her off to an aging Auror who had been extremely successful in his prime (which was well before she was born, well before Lord Voldemort's return to power). This marriage was an attempt to show the British Wizarding Society that the Rosiers did not still hold on to the pureblood values and therefore they managed to successfully gain the trust of their peers.
Having been in love with her distant cousin - Cygnus Flint - since she was fifteen years old, Callidora embarked upon a tumultuous affair with the handsome, wealthy young man which was started before the first anniversary of her marriage to the muggle loving, ministry man - Edgar Savage.
An heir was produced two years into her marriage to Edgar and the older man, blinded by his young wife's beauty (and perhaps a few careful dosages of Unctuous Unction) was proud to present his son to society. The boy, Sebastian Savage, much to Callidora's chagrin, grew up very close to the man who society and the law recognised as his father.
Fourteen years into their marriage, Edgar (who had remained oblivious to the fact that he was a cuckold, despite everybody else in society whispering about it) suffered an inexplicable infection of the blood in the middle of the night. He died before Callidora could even process what was happening so that she could have Apparated to St. Mungo's (or so she claimed). Upon the reading of the will, it was found that Edgar, who had been besotted with his beautiful wife from the moment he had set eyes on her, had left her every last galleon, knut and sickle in his vault.
A year and a day after her husband was buried, Callidora wed her long-time lover, Cygnus Flint, in a private ceremony at the old Malfoy Manor. Sebastian never questioned his paternity and received his share of the Savage inheritance upon graduation from Hogwarts, after which he began his career in this Ministry where he was destined to be the Head of the Department of International Magical-Cooperation.
Callidora and Cygnus continued to live in the comfort of their combined inheritance until one night, roughly ten years after their marriage, Cygnus died of a heart attack. Callidora, having never received any education in Healing was forced to watch as her husband and lover died in her arms. He too left her everything he owned.
