Garret has longish, messy black hair which is almost always in his eyes, which are a a shade of aquamarine blue. He is of average height, a little on the skinny side at the moment and has skin covered in freckles. When in muggle clothes, he tends to look like a vagabond thanks to the fact that his clothes are all handed down to him from his older cousin.He also wears braces, due to the fact that he had angered his mother so much that she denied him the option of getting his teeth charmed right. He got his braces taken off the summer before his fourth year at Hogwarts.
Background:
Born in the city of London, Garret grew up around a muggle influence despite the fact that both his parents are magical as were their parents before them. His father worked for the ministry at the time of his birth, and they had lived in the city because upkeep was much cheaper than living in a crumbling house in the country. A year after his little brother was born, Garret's parents split ways and Garret never saw his father since.
His mother worked two jobs tirelessly to ensure that their little family was always fed and always had a roof over their heads. His mother's brother often offered assistance, but his mother's Slytherin pride always made her deny it. However, she never denied things on her sons' behalf and that is why Garret wears his cousin, Marsden's old clothes, old robes, uses his old school books and even flies his old broom.
Garret grew up watching his mother work, work and work some more. He yearns to be successful so that he may help her and his little brother (even though he can't stand the little bugger) in the future. His dream is to become an executive chef and to own his own restaurant one day where he can terrorize the kitchen staff, waiters and guests with his part time Opera singing gig.
